A Simple Weekly Prospecting Routine for Coaches

September 21, 2026

Prospecting works best when it is small, regular, and honest. You do not need a complicated funnel to start. You need a routine you can keep during a busy week.

Block two short sessions

Schedule two 45-minute blocks each week and treat them like client sessions. Put them in your calendar with a fixed purpose so they do not turn into general admin time.

What to do in each block

Track conversations, not vanity numbers

Keep a simple list with three columns: person, last contact, and next step. It is more useful than follower counts and keeps you from losing warm leads.

Keep the tone respectful

Make it easy to say no. Offer a short conversation, be clear about what you can and cannot help with, and accept a decline gracefully. People remember how you handled that moment.

Review on Friday

Spend five minutes noting what led to real conversations. Repeat that next week and drop what did not. Small adjustments, made every week, compound faster than a big campaign.
